Everyone likes to have their own privacy. We don’t like being traced or followed on our every step. But sadly, we are being spied by a number of government and non-government groups. This is creepy but is true, and one organization that takes up most of the heat is the NSA (National Security Agency). They might be spying on you right now while you are reading this, and there’s nothing any of us can do about it. The only thing we can do is to find out their possible ways of breaching our privacy. And here they are.
The Tailors Access Operations (TAO) is a hacking unit of NSA. They can probably break into any device possible to gather relevant intel.
2. Patriot Act
According to the Patriot Act, the US government can get an access to the business records of various people. They do it to reveal any terror finding that might be happening around.
The PRISM program requires big social media giants like Facebook and Google to pass the information to NSA. And absolutely, it includes Gmail as well. Breaching into our privacy just got deeper.
4. The Motto
The Tailors Access Operations (TAO) has a weird motto like “Your data is our data, your equipment is our equipment – anytime, any place, by any legal means.” Which explains it all.
The NSA has forced a number of manufacturers to intentionally implant vulnerabilities in certain products.
6. Shopping Details
The government has made deals with a number of financial institutions so that they can keep an easy track on all of our purchases.
7. Internet Masking
No matter if you mask your internet using tools like TOR or something. The NSA has developed ways in which they can easily find you. You can’t escape government surveillance.
The NSA has the data of over one billion people from around the globe. They not only store the data but analyze it as well.
9. Five Eyes
The Five Eyes is an agreement between the five countries viz. The US, UK, Canada New Zealand, and Australia. It is an agreement to share surveillance data with each other.
10. Online Posts
Even the pictures you post online can help the NSA to track you down quite easily.
11. Tapping Internet Lines
The Internet is connected to different continents using fiber optics cables undersea. These cables carry a huge amount of data, that the NSA tracks down by employing snooping bugs into these cables using submarines.
12. Hacking Foreign Companies
In countries like Brazil and Germany, the NSA has hacked into major telecommunication companies. They are breaching the data and making the system’s security weak so that it becomes easier for them to dig deeper.
